“I have a talent”. Simon expected a disaster. A moment later, the jurors “had chills all over their bodies”

Many people get entertainment from watching TV talent shows. It is no different in the case of “Got Talent”. Each broadcast episode provides us with a large dose of emotions, so we follow the career paths of individual participants with interest. Sometimes we can witness the birth of real stars.

An interesting situation occurred in the latest edition of Britain’s Got Talent. 39-year-old Taryn Charles appeared before the jurors and blew everyone away with her voice. When, after a short introduction, she started singing, nothing indicated that she would become a real discovery of this program.

She took over the stage of Britain’s Got Talent. Nobody expected this

Taryn seemed nervous from the very beginning, and this affected the first impression she made on the jurors. When she started singing Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” Simon Cowell’s face showed disappointment. However, with each subsequent moment, the participant felt more confident and began to use strong, beautiful vocals that literally had everyone on their seats. People in the audience couldn’t hide their emotion when the woman finished her work with full concentration. A wave of applause spread throughout the hall, and Taryn watched in disbelief what was happening.

One of the jurors, Bruno Tonioli, choked on a golden mushroom after the audience chanted “press the button”. Therefore, for the participant it meant a direct promotion to the semi-final of “Got Talent”. The surprised jurors expressed their admiration – I had chills all over my body. You’re so sweet, so humble, and then you knocked us out. I see how much this moment meant to you, you’re shaking all over, summed up Amanda Holden’s performance. Simon honestly admitted that he expected Taryn’s poor performance. – You turned us into a fool. “Yes, I sing alright, I guess it’s ok.” I saw you getting upset and I was sure it was going to be very bad. And then you started singing, and that’s how people should do it,” he concluded.

She inherited her love of jazz from her grandfather. This led her to success in “Got Talent”

Taryn’s recognition after her appearance in the British “Got Talent” is constantly growing. In one of the interviews published on the website, she shared her musical inspirations and gave some advice for beginner singers. She revealed that she fell in love with jazz thanks to her grandfather, who was a musician himself.

He would sit me down and we would watch jazz recordings and I had to learn the notes. (…) I still listen to jazz and records, and most of my singing takes on the characteristics of these wonderful singers.

She recommended that novice singers never give up and persistently pursue their goals. She mentioned that she was faced with obstacles many times, but she always pushed forward and that’s why we can admire her singing.

Do not give up! Because honestly, I’ve been knocked down many times and told I’m not good enough. There was a time when I auditioned for Whitney in the Whitney Musical and was told I was too fat. (…) If you get knocked down, get up and do it again! Just keep going!

– Taryn advised all those who are at the beginning of their musical path. If you feel like it, vote in our poll below.
