A completely new entertainment format dedicated to football fans will soon be broadcast. “Match – a football game show” is an initiative that aims to combine sports emotions with intellectual competition. As reported by the Wirtualne Media portal, Dariusz Szpakowski, a well-known sports commentator, is involved in the creation of the program and supports the project with his experience.
Program structure and format
The game show is planned as a series of episodes in which teams of four will compete in four different rounds. Participants they will struggle with questions about the history of football, current sporting events, as well as legendary goals and famous figures from the football world. Thanks to this, each episode promises to be full of exciting moments and challenges for the participants.
The program will have a structure similar to a football tournament, with quarterfinals, semifinals and a grand final. According to the Wirtualne Media portal, eight teams will start in the first series and will compete in the four initial episodes. The winners of these battles will meet in the semi-finals, and the best two teams will finally face each other in the final.
Not only Dariusz Szpakowski collaborates on the creation of the game show “Match”, but also… Wojciech Frączek and TVP Sport journalist Patryk Ganiek. Both men are significant figures in the media and sports world.
The first broadcast of the game show is scheduled for the duration of Euro 2024, which may additionally attract viewers interested in football. The game show will be broadcast every Saturday at 8:30 p.m. on TVP1. The creators are, because they are already planning the next seasons for this fall.

It is worth adding that, apart from “Match – a football game show”, TVP also plans to broadcast the comedy series “Gra na maksa”, which was popular during previous football tournaments. – Euro 2021 and the 2022 World Cup. The combination of humor and sports passion is once again intended to entertain viewers during breaks between matches.
