The cinema hit hit Netflix and caused quite a stir. In TOP3 it competes with another Polish production

As announced, “Mr. Kleks’ Academy” was added to Netflix’s offer last week. In just a few days, last winter’s cinema hit reached the top of the ranking of the most watched productions.

“Mr. Kleks’ Academy” was a real hit in Polish cinemas. At pre-premiere screenings, which began at the end of last year, the film about Professor Kleks’s enchanted school was watched by approximately half a million viewers. Since its cinema premiere, Maciej Kawulski’s production has attracted 2.9 million viewers. In the ranking of the most watched films in Poland after 1989, “Paradise Kleksa’s Academy” took 14th place, which is higher than last year’s hit “Barbie” (it currently ranks 17th). Thus, Kawulski’s work with Tomasz Kot in the main role became one of the most profitable titles in recent years.

“Mr. Kleks’ Academy” in Netflix’s TOP3

After the spectacular success of “Mr. Kleks’ Academy” in Polish cinemas, the film’s producers went a step further by announcing the premiere date on Netflix. This was scheduled for May 8. The film has been available on streaming for over a week, but it is still a success. In the ranking of the best film titles in the period between May 6 and 12, “Paradise Kleksa’s Academy” was at the very top. In second place was “Hunting” by Paweł Chmielewski, and in third place was a comedy directed by Mark Waters, “Mother of the Bride”.

The film stars: Antonina Litwiniak, Tomasz Kot, Piotr Fronczewski, Danuta Stenka, Agnieszka Grochowska, Sebastian Stankiewicz, Daniel Walasek and Konrad Repiński. Krzysztof Gureczny and Agnieszka Kruk are responsible for the script for the new “Mr. Kleks’ Academy”. Maciej Kawulski was behind the camera.
