The beginnings of an acting career
Jakub Strzelecki gained popularity thanks to his roles in series such as “Two Sides of a Medal”, where he partnered with Marta Żmuda-Trzebiatowska, and “Samo Życie”, where he appeared alongside Katarzyna Pierścionek. He also played in productions such as “City from the Sea” with Julia Pietrucha, “Now or Never” and “Time of Honor”. He was fascinated by acting from an early age, which led him to study at the Łódź Film School.

Strzelecki still had doubts about choosing his professional career, even after two years of studying at the film school. Only his role in “Two Sides of the Coin” gave him confidence and a sense of fulfillment in acting. Nevertheless, despite a promising career, doubts about his life path returned. In 2011, he played his last role in “M jak miłość”, after which he decided to make radical changes in his life.
Strzelecki, feeling inner anxiety, decided to give up acting. In an interview for “Echo Dnia” he admitted that working in front of the camera stopped bringing him joy. In 2014, he joined the Order of Bernardine Fathers, inspired by the figure of Saint. Francis of Assisi. As Father Faustyn Kuśnierz, Strzelecki’s guardian, reported, this decision was a surprise to many, but the actor felt that he could give more of himself.
New Life in the Monastery
In the monastery, Jakub Strzelecki found the peace of mind he was looking for. He went through postulancy and then novitiate, and in 2020, he made perpetual vows, taking the name Tobiasz. Two years later, he graduated from the seminary and was ordained a priest. Currently, he serves as a priest in two parishes in Podkarpacie, finding fulfillment in his spiritual life.
