At least that’s what those who pay great attention to the power of some of them think. This is not only about health properties – we have often encountered, for example, burning amber or making tinctures based on it.
Many people believe in the energy associated with specific crystals and stones. They are supposed to help us solve various problems or support us in everyday situations. For example, it is said that pyrite attracts prosperity and money, carnelian affects our sexuality, and calcite helps us calm down and clear the mind. That’s why we hang them around our necks or attach them to a bracelet so that they are always with us and support us every day. As long as they aren’t dyed foxes. Literally.
Stones and crystals? We pay a fortune for these “dyed foxes”.
Just like many sellers can find clothes by “Kalven Klein”, “Adibas” or “Channel”, the same happens with crystals and stones. Apart from the fact that we spend a lot of money on them, we also often count on their special effects. So it’s worth making them really true. If we believe in this power, it is difficult to expect a plastic bead to influence our well-being. Meanwhile, it turns out that what some stores or stands offer can hardly be called an honest practice.

As an expert in crystal healing, she went to one of the crystal healing fairs to determine what was available for purchase there. It turned out that among many authentic specimens, there were also many fakes. These include colored, synthetic stones that are completely different from what they are depicted. While some cost a few zlotys, the prices of others were very high. And when we spend a lot of money on something, we rather hope that it will be authentic.

If we want to acquire authentic stones and crystals, it is worth knowing how to recognize them. It will be helpful to delve into this topic, get to know these specimens, their properties, specifications, appearance and feel. However, if we want a quick assessment, we can use methods that are plentiful on the Internet. For example, we can look at what is probably the most popular stone in Poland – amber.
How to recognize real amber? The simplest method to distinguish a fake from authentic amber is to immerse it in salt water. The fake amber will sink to the bottom while the real amber will float. Another way is to insert a heated needle into it. The needle will come out of a real stone without any problems and we will feel the characteristic, soothing, resinous aroma. However, in the store it is difficult to pierce amber before buying it. You can rub it on wool or other natural material, and then apply it to tiny pieces of paper. Authentic amber will attract them.
