Luna revealed the shocking behind-the-scenes of Eurovision. She talked about the behavior of the Israeli delegation

In one of the interviews given after Eurovision, Luna talked about the tense situation surrounding the competition. She revealed how the Israeli national team behaved behind the scenes of the competition.

2024 is already behind us. The competition was won by Switzerland and Nemo with the song “The Code”. The 68th edition of the competition was also the most tense in history. All because of the organizers’ decision not to exclude Israel from the competition.

Eurovision 2024. Luna revealed the backstage of the competition

Russia was excluded from Eurovision two years ago for waging open war and murdering civilians. Before Yugoslavia broke up, it was excluded from Eurovision under UN sanctions imposed due to the wars in the Balkans. More than 35,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel’s war on Palestine began last October. Israel’s attack is in retaliation for the Hamas terrorist attack that killed 1,139 people.

Another scandal broke out just before the final, when the Dutch representative, Joost, was excluded from the competition. The EBU’s decision has become a source of numerous rumors and theories. Luna, who represented Poland with the song “The Tower”, was also missing in the grand finale. The singer was eliminated in the first semi-final of the competition, and after her return, she gave several interviews in which she talked, among other things, about the backstage of the competition.

Luna about the Israeli national team. “The Israeli delegation provoked us”

In an interview with Pomponik, Luna emphasized that “there were a lot of injustices at this Eurovision”. The artist emphasized that she could not comment on the situation with Joost because she was not a witness to any of the incidents discussed online. – However, I can only say that the media and the Israeli delegation strongly harassed and provoked us, all artists. I was perhaps a bit lucky in that I did not take part in the semi-final in which Israel took part. It didn’t affect me directly, but it did affect artists close to me. I can’t speak on behalf of anyone else, simply, but these were unpleasant situations that were rude and inappropriate, Luna said after returning to the country.

Luna also admitted that if Israel won the competition and she were in Loreen’s place and had to present the statuette to the country, she would not perform at all.
