Report on the fire at Marywilska 44 in “Panorama” with a reporter’s mistake

Mainly textiles were traded in the halls at Marywilska Street. There were about 1,400 shops and trading points there. Many of the owners of these facilities are foreigners, including Vietnamese. Reporter Marcin Dryszel reported from the fire scene in Sunday’s “Panorama”. At one point he began to stutter, and not really knowing how to get out of the slip of the tongue, he said on air:

At 12, the services said that the level was elevated, that the concentration level was elevated. That there is no… f***, I’m sorry. That there are no harmful substances in the air, and at 6 p.m. the fire brigade said that groundwater is not threatened by firefighting or fire.

The presenter ignored the blunder in silence

The news service from the studio, Piotr Jędrzejek, thanked Dryszel for the report, without referring to the reporter’s mistake, and continued the “Panorama” edition.

In January this year, “Panorama” returned after a short break caused by changes in the management of TVP and the subsequent liquidation of Telewizja Polska. After many years, Jarosław Kulczycki returned as the program’s host and is now the head of the TVP2 news service. He replaced Adam Krzykowski as editor-in-chief. His team was joined by, among others: Piotr Jędrzejek, who previously hosted the morning on Polsat News.
