TVP gave its employees a specific bonus for April. Moreover, an important change is being introduced – from now on, bonuses will be awarded every month, and not as before – every quarter. Trade unionists agree that the new bonus system will be good for everyone.

According to Wirtualne Media, she announced that all employees employed under the time-bonus system will receive a 5% bonus for April. This decision was made on the basis of the effective activities of the Advertising Office, which resulted in an increase in commercial revenues in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. The bonus will be paid on May 10, and from April this year the bonus rate will be determined monthly.

According to the announcement and the company’s general director, Tomasz Sygut, Telewizja Polska’s advertising revenues in the first quarter of 2024 increased by almost 10% compared to the previous year. The largest increase, amounting to 16%, was recorded in the sales of advertising and sponsoring of thematic channels. Particularly impressive was the increase in TVP INFO revenues, which amounted to 28% compared to the same period of the previous year. An increase in revenues was also recorded in the main channels – TVP1 and TVP2 – and in online advertising. This success was attributed to, among others, acquiring new advertisers who were not active on Telewizja Polska last year.

Enthusiastic Reactions from Trade Unionists

Bogdan Wiśniewski, the chairman of NSZZ “Solidarność” on TVP, emphasizes that “any additional money granted to employees is positively assessed”. Trade unions at TVP have long been calling for changing the bonus system to a more regular one. Barbara Markowska-Wójcik, chairwoman of the Trade Union of Creative Workers TVP Wizja, adds that “switching to the monthly system is more advantageous because if there is no bonus in one month, there is a greater chance of receiving it in the next.”

Easter benefits for employees
