The complete list is now songs that will go to Eurovision on Saturday, when the grand finale of the Song Festival takes place. The second semi-final was held on Thursday, May 9, two days before the final, and in a more politicized context than the first. The reason: Israel’s actions. During the rehearsals there were a series of changes that the organization had to make, which they have tried to silence the boos that the representative of Israel, Eden Golan, received based on canned applause.

During the performance he couldn’t avoid the noise either and during the part a cappella, the signs of disapproval were even greater. All this, however, has not prevented Israel from qualifying for the grand final. These ten countries join the others 10 that happened in the first semi-final:

  • Austria | Representative: Kaleen | Song: We Will Rave
  • Swiss | Representative: Nemo | Song: The Code
  • Greece | Representative: Marina Satti | Song: Zari
  • Armenia | Representative: Ladaniva | Song: jaco
  • Estonia | Representative: 5miinust & Puuluup | Song: (Nendest) Narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi
  • Georgia | Representative: Nutsa Buzaladze | Song: Firefighter
  • Israel | Representative: Eden Golan | Song: Hurricane
  • Netherlands | Representative: Joost Klein | Song: Europapa
  • Norway | Representative: Gate | Song: Ulveham
  • Latvia | Representative: Dons | Song: Hollow

In addition to these 20 who have made it to the final, at the Eurovision gala, which takes place on Saturday, May 11, there are also six other countries that do not need to go through any classification process. Spain is one of them. Neither the Spanish representation nor that of five other countries are obliged to perform in the semi-final: Spain , because it belongs to the Big Five, the group of five countries that make the greatest economic contribution to the organization of the festival, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which are France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain. The sixth country that does not have to go through the semi-final is the host country of the festival which, as a rule, is usually the winner of the previous edition. This time it is Sweden who earned their golden ticket to the final.
