SkyShowtime has started filming “Ślebody”, the first original series to be produced by the platform. The production will be an adaptation of the popular ethno-criminal novel by Małgorzata Fugiel-Kuźmińska and Michał Kuźmiński. The main roles will be played by Maria Dębska, Maciej Musiał and Piotr Pacek.
“Śleboda” – the first Polish series from Skyshowtime
The main character of the six-episode series will be Anka Serafin, a lecturer from Krakow. An anthropologist goes to the mountains to rearrange her life. There, he accidentally encounters the massacred body of Jan Śleboda. However, the heroine does not yet know that the death of the old highlander will only be the beginning of a series of vengeful crimes. She will be helped in solving the mysterious mystery by a young journalist, Sebastian Strzygoń (Maciej Musiał), who is looking for a sensation, and a local policeman, Jędrek Chowaniec (Piotr Pacek).
“Śleboda” is directed by Bartosz Blaschke and Michał Gazda, who directed the new “Quack Man” for Netflix last year. “We are thrilled to bring this gripping novel to the screen.
