First information about the series adaptation of Harry Potter from Warner Bross. Discovery announced officially in April 2023. As the portal learned, the project has been scheduled for 10 years, and the first season, the script of which is to be based on “The Chamber of Secrets”, will premiere in 2026. There is no denying that the news caused a huge stir among fans of the series, especially since, according to the announcement, the budget is to amount to a similar amount to that of the creators or “Rom of the Dragon”, i.e. from 100 to even 200 million dollars per tranche. However, the admiration passed as quickly as it appeared, and the Internet began to boycott the project.
As we already know, the cast of the series is currently being selected, and the creators’ intentions towards the stars known from the original are not known in any detail. However, we probably won’t see him on screen, and in an interview with Comicbook he openly expressed his attitude towards this project. “I understand they’re trying to start over and I’m sure whoever does that will want to make their mark on it.” I assure you he won’t have to think about how to get old Harry to come back, because I definitely intend to stay away from it. But of course I wish them luck – eloquently.

HBO has already announced that Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts are executive producers, who will join forces with JKRowling herself. This would explain the actor’s decision, because the author of the novel has a conflict not only with him, but also with Rupert Grint.
All because of her negative statements about transgender people. For the same reason, fans of the series began to demand that the studio withdraw it from the project, otherwise they announced a continuation of the boycott. The news quickly reached the writer herself, who had already commented on the whole fuss. Apparently, however, she didn’t care about the “threats” at all, because she turned the whole situation into a joke.
