Netflix is ​​increasingly willing to cooperate with Polish creators and buys licenses for the distribution of their hit productions. This is what happened with the 2022 series “Crusade”, which, just a few days after its debut in the website’s library, was on the podium of the TOP 10 most frequently watched titles. What is its plot about?

Every month, new films and series appear, including those created by Polish creators. However, it sometimes happens that the real hits turn out to be titles whose premiere took place a few months or even a few years earlier. A perfect example of this is the crime series “Krucjata” (available on ) directed by Łukasz Ostalski.

The plot of “Crusade” focuses on the character of Commissioner Jan Góra, known as Manżaro, and other policemen from the homicide and criminal terror department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters. In each of the thirteen episodes, lasting approximately 44 minutes, they tackle a crime mystery related to the kidnappings and murders of people known from the broadly understood world of show business. Their task is not only to solve the case, but also to find the criminal or criminals and bring him to justice. However, this is not always as simple as it may seem at first, and the clues sometimes turn out to be very misleading.

Where to watch “Crusade”? The Polish series has been conquering Netflix for several days

premiered on VOD in November 2022 and was immediately appreciated by viewers. Thanks to the excellent reviews, a few months later it also made its debut on Channel One, causing no less a sensation. The success of the series was undoubtedly determined by the engaging and intricate plot, but not only that. The star cast also had a great impact, with actors such as Tomasz Schuchardt, Vanessa Aleksander, Paweł Deląg, Julian Świeżewski, Michał Kaleta, Masza Wągrocka and Michał Czernecki playing the main roles.

Now “Crusade” is triumphing again and gaining recognition among viewers, all thanks to Netflix, which purchased the license to distribute it. The first, and so far only, season of the series appeared in the platform’s library on May 2, 2024, and in just a few days it was at the top of the TOP10 most watched titles on the website. It is possible that the surprising viewership results will accelerate the implementation of the next tranche, long awaited by fans.
