The organizers of Splat!FilmFest, a festival of new horror, fantasy, genre cinema and uncompromising arthouse cinema, which will take place in Poland in October for the ninth time, have invited you to a completely new film event on the map of the country. We are talking about the WTF Festival, the first edition of which will start in June.

“WTF” is the name of a section that has appeared at Splat!FilmFest for years. The films shown there are extremely popular, and tickets for the strangest screenings sell out the fastest. It’s no wonder that the event organizers went ahead. Monika Stolat, director of Splat!FilmFest, who became director and producer of WTF Fest, is behind the new initiative.
“You will see with your own eyes 11 films from which critics slammed doors, productions that changed world cinema and are today considered cult and twisted new releases that sent the festival audience into a frenzy,” we read in the announcement of the film event.

The detailed program of the event will be available online on May 7. Ticket sales for the event will also start then. WTF Fest will take place at Kinoteka in Warsaw (June 6-9) and Kino Nowe Horyzonty in Wrocław (June 13-16).
“Terribly strange films” – reads the slogan of WTF Fest. The event will be a festival of films that are “bizarre, crazy and leave the viewer in a state of deep shock and a sense of dismay. This is an event for people with far-reaching boundaries of good taste, connoisseurs of celluloid oddities, gourmets of the absurd and seekers of film adventures,” the organizers warn.
