Although last year around the world triumphs in the viewership rankings were celebrated, among others, by “Gambit Królowej”, in Poland we stormed something from our own backyard. The JustWatch website announced that we used “Chyłka”, the series Player Original with Magdalena Cielecka in the role of a relentless lawyer who can roll up our sleeves in even the most difficult cases. Soon, Joanna Chyłka’s adventures will end – who will we watch then? Player.pl has at least several solutions for this.

Fans of Remigiusz Mróz’s prose, who despair of the series “Chyłka” for consolation at the beginning of the coming year, will get a screen adaptation of another series by the same writer. In January, another Player Original production “Behawiorysta” will debut with Robert Więckiewicz in the lead role. He played Gerard Edling, a former investigator and body language specialist who will be drawn into a gruesome (and no, it’s not an exaggeration) case.
If you are looking for something interesting besides “Chyłka” to watch now, it is worth paying attention to, for example, “Doomed”. Agata Kulesza played the role of a judge who was wrongly convicted of murder, who must be in prison with women sent to prison by herself. It is not easy – neither the guards nor other prisoners like her, and she must not only survive in prison, but also prove her innocence. It is worth reaching for the series, for example, to listen to how Ola Adamska is disturbingly efficiently using prison slang.
There will also be something for younger viewers. The Polish internet series “Control” gained international recognition – so far it has been watched over 50 million times, including in countries such as the USA, Brazil, India and China. It is a story created by Natasza Parzymies, a student of the Warsaw Film School, about the stormy love of Natalia and Majka, which was born on the occasion of a chance meeting. The production showed night and student life in contemporary Warsaw. From December 21, Player viewers can see the new version of “Control”: the girls meet again shortly before Christmas, and it is a special moment in their lives for them. Natalia has to deal with the turmoil in a long-term relationship, and Majka will soon leave for the whole semester to Spain.
