“Other people”. There is a premiere trailer of a movie based on a novel by Dorota Mas³owska

“Other People” is Aleksandra Terpińska’s full-length debut. The director’s short film “The Most Beautiful Fireworks Ever” received the Rail d’Or and the Canal + Award at the 2018 Cannes International Film Festival. The producers of the film are Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska and Beata Rzeźniczek, who form the international company MADANTS.

“Other people”. Nobody expected where this relationship would go

At first glance, Kamil (Jacek Beler) and Iwona (Sonia Bohosiewicz) have nothing in common. Iwona is a bored and unhappy wife of Maciek (Marek Kalita), living in luxury on credit. Kamil is 32 years old, sexy girl Anecia (Magdalena Koleśnik), but still lives with her mother (Beata Kawka) in a housing estate, dreaming up a rapper’s career and catching random jobs. The relationship with Iwona is seemingly irrelevant, but thanks to her, both of them will see their life choices and the people around them in a different light. The everyday life of the characters is carefully monitored and described by the narrator (Sebastian Fabijański).

Producer Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska worked on Wojciech Smarzowski’s “Pod Mocnym Aniołem” and Agnieszka Holland’s “Citizen Jones”. In 2018, the company co-produced Claire Denis’s “High Life” with Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche, and in 2020 – Agnieszka Holland’s “Charlatan”. Currently, the company is working on the English-language debut of Agnieszka Smoczyńska “Ciche sisters” with Letitia Wright (Black Panther) in one of the main roles.

Outside of Warner Bros. the film’s partners are: Canal +, Alcatraz Films, Film Produk, Moderator Inwestycje, Abstraction Plan. “Other People” received grants from the Polish Film Institute and the Mazovian and Warsaw Film Funds. Warner Bros. is responsible for cinema distribution. Entertainment Polska. The production’s premiere is scheduled for March 18, 2022.
