In 2007, Dominika Ostalowska experienced the death of her friend from the set of “M jak miłość”, Mariusz Sabiniewicz. The actor playing the role of Norbert died due to pancreatic cancer, from which he had been suffering for 5 years.
Dominika Ostalowska had a stalker. When she rejected her advances, real hell began
Shortly after his death, Ostalowska was contacted by a mysterious woman who claimed that she wanted to write a book about Sabiniewicz. At that time, the actress did not suspect that she was dealing with a psycho, so she agreed to a series of meetings. “She asked me about Mariusz, but she immediately told me that she was preparing my website. And whether I would be interested in it. And since all this was preceded by this quite dramatic story about how the series and, to some extent, our people – Mariusz and me – broadcast meaning of her life, I said ‘yes'” – said Ostalowska in an interview for “Newsweek”.
After a few months of dating, the actress’ red light went off for the first time. The stalker confessed her love when they were standing over Sabiniewicz’s grave. Ostalowska was quite shocked because she had previously expected the woman to tell her that she was in love with the actor. After this incident, the “M jak miłość” star cut off contact with the stalker, but she did not give up. The woman began impersonating the actress’ manager, spreading rumors about her alleged illness and fight against cancer. Although none of these stories were true, the stalker’s actions caused quite a stir in Ostalowska’s professional life.
The actress lost several offers from producers who believed the rumors about her health. However, there were many more false stories – the woman claimed that Ostalowska gave birth to a child who died after some time. “Ladies from theater secretariats wrote e-mails to each other to see if it was true. I decided that from the point of view, not only of my safety, it should be said more loudly,” said the actress in the Plejada program of “Cejrowski’s Stars”.
In addition to spreading rumors about Ostalowska’s life, the woman decided to impersonate her. Using the actress’s details, she sent text messages indicating that she was losing hope for recovery. Ostalowska’s nightmare ended overnight – the stalker suddenly disappeared from her life. The actress decided to turn her unpleasant experience into something good. She became the host of the program “Stalking – Bad Love”.
