Last week, the producers of the series “1670” announced the casting for the second season of the production. The Netflix hit remained at the forefront of the most popular titles on the entire website for many weeks, hence the information about the start of work on new episodes seemed only a matter of time. Filming for the second season will start in the summer, but the creators are already looking for people who would like to play the roles of peasants living in Adamczysze, divided between Andrzej and Jan Paweł.
Casting for the series will take place on May 15 and 16 in Kolbuszowa at the Stylowa Hotel. Candidates for the role of peasants must meet specific criteria – due to the fact that the photos will be shot in the summer, the actors cannot have tattoos in visible places: on their hands, arms and calves.
The first stage of casting applications involves filling out an online form. Just two days after its announcement, nearly 3,000 people sent it. Therefore, the creators of the series decided to limit the range of extras sought to people living around Kolbuszowa.
3,000 people applied for the casting for “1670”. The creators had to make a sudden decision
“The form and casting – due to the nature of work on the film set, e.g. the need to continue for several / several dozen days, early collections, varied working hours, or situations when, e.g. due to the weather, the shooting days will change – is now intended ONLY FOR RESIDENTS OF KOLBUSZOWA AND THE AREA. Selected people will receive a text message with an invitation to a stationary casting,” we read in the post. Internet users are, of course, disappointed that the producers decided to change the conditions of participation in the casting. One of the people even commented jokingly, referring to the famous line from the series’ Jakub: “Only from Kolbuszowa? Go and confess your decision. I ordered a casting for the whole of Poland and there will be a casting for the whole of Poland.”
Does this mean that for people outside the mentioned regions, the chance to participate in the Netflix hit has been lost forever? Well, not at all! The producers announced that some of the series will be shot in September in Warsaw. Therefore, further castings will be announced soon.
