Many people think it’s the perfect time to mow the lawn. There is nothing more pleasant than gentle, light work, warm sun and rest among the vegetation during a long-awaited holiday. However, not everyone knows what to do with the grass after mowing. Throw it in the trash? It turns out that there is a much better way that will make your life easier and nothing will be wasted.
What to do with the cut grass? Don’t throw it away, just use it for mulching
Virtually everyone realizes how important it is to optimally hydrate plants and maintain them at the right temperature. During hot weather, the soil dries quite quickly, and during heavy rains it may overflow.

Not everyone knows that the problem can only be solved by mown grass, which we usually throw away. A layer of just a few centimeters is enough to protect the plants we care about growing. In addition, mulching with grass also has other benefits. We are talking about preventing weeds from growing among plants, which is the nightmare of many gardeners and is not easy to get rid of.
Is grass suitable for compost? Don’t hesitate to throw it into the composter
The grass is also compostable. If, despite mulching, you have excess mulch after mowing, you can use it this way. However, you must remember that only carefully dried grass can be composted. So just wait a few days after mowing until it dries out (if there is no rain at that time, of course) and put it in the composter. Grass compost will be useful for fertilizing the soil. You can use it on your favorite fruits and vegetables that you grow in your garden. It is also suitable for feeding annual plants. If you feel like it, vote in our poll below.
