Olga Frycz failed to pass the theater school exam
Olga Frycz passed her high school final exams in the first half of the 2000s. She already had her first roles – she had appeared in television shows and films since childhood. It was natural that after graduating from high school, she would apply to the Krakow theater school. And this is where the problems began, because her father saw a different future for his daughter.
It was Olga’s father who asked Agnieszka Mandat (a professor of acting who examines candidates for actors – editor’s note) to “fail” his daughter. He really didn’t want her to become an actress, but he didn’t expect that she would get her own way anyway – said a “friend” of Jan Frycz in an interview with “Rewia” years ago.
he later denied this information, claiming that he had never influenced anyone, but the acting world is not particularly kind:
I never had anything to do with my children appearing in child roles, and equally nothing to do with their later acting studies. It’s thanks to my ex-wife. I repeat, I have nothing to do with this. Acting is a lot of bad things in life – he said in an interview for “Playboy”.
Although he himself denied it, Olga Frycz mentioned several times that the rumors circulating about the rejection of her application to the Krakow school also reached her.
I experienced great disappointment then. Nobody told me why I wasn’t accepted. (…) I know that it was my father who “arranged” me for not getting into the school I had dreamed of since I was a child. Today I think I was lucky that they didn’t accept me because it gave me time to play. But when they rejected me, I was devastated, Frycz said in an interview with Styl.pl.
Olga Frycz finally finished the one-year Lart Studio acting school in Krakow. She continued to play in numerous productions until 2018. In 2020, she appeared in one more episode of “The Archivist”. On the website of the agency that takes care of her, you can find a video from 2023 in which she confesses that she would like to return to her profession after raising her children.
