Stefanie Powers, real name Stefania Zofia Federkiewicz, was born in 1942 in Los Angeles. The actress is of Polish origin, because her mother was the daughter of Polish Catholics who emigrated to the USA. She started her career when she was only 16 years old. She signed a contract with the studio and played in TV series. Viewers loved her for her role as Jennifer in “Hart to Hart”. In 1972, she met the famous actor William Holden. What united them was their love for Africa. They moved to a ranch in Kenya and became involved in wildlife conservation, but alcohol got in the way of their happiness. William had been struggling with addiction for years, and in 1981, when he was drunk, he tripped and hit his head, which was the direct cause of his death.

Stefanie founded her husband’s name and is still involved in the protection of wild species in Africa.
