Grażyna Sikorska from Law and Justice lost the election for mayor of the Sterden commune by 339 votes. After this year’s elections, the position was taken by non-partisan candidate Marianna Kobylińska. The husband of the PiS candidate did not like this fact. After the election results were announced, he furiously wandered around the village of Szwejki and accosted his neighbors who did not vote for his wife. She looked into the matter.
He took a hammer and threatened the villagers
A village resident affected by the incident spoke to the portal. Grażyna Sikorska’s husband appeared in front of his property and got carried away by emotions. In a fury, he threatened to destroy it. – When I asked what was going on, he claimed that his wife lost because of the opponents’ election banner on my fence – he reported.
The man also allegedly harassed a saleswoman from a local store who supported a non-partisan candidate. – He fell into a state of total psychosis. He literally created hell for us here – said witnesses. Moreover, he destroyed a barbecue that they had put up as a social act. He justified his action by saying that he was “taking away his property as a punishment.”
The police were notified
No one spoke under his name for fear of the man’s retaliation. Wirtualna Polska asked the police for a comment on this matter. It was confirmed that there was a conflict in the village and intervention was necessary. The former mayor, in turn, refused to comment, claiming that “it’s all untrue.”
