Euskaraz irakurri: Jolasteko eta ekiteko gonbita egingo du Getxophoto jaialdiak

The International Image Festival Getxophoto will celebrate its 24th edition between June 6 and 30, and will have the idea of “Play” as main theme. “This year we take the game very seriously by exploring the multiplicity of its forms, approaches and potentialities. From the field of image and photography – and beyond –, we immerse ourselves in a play which is also presented as a start or activation,” the organization explained.

For the second consecutive year, María Ptqk from Bilbao directs the artistic program, which will consist of 22 exhibitions, most of them outdoors: “22 artists from countries such as Switzerland, Japan, Germany, China, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, the United States “United States, Poland or Russia will show their work in exhibitions and installations (most of them outdoors) in three main axes of the city: the center of Algorta, the Ereaga beach promenade and Romo–Las Arenas.”

The artists Jason Fulford, Lu Yang, Feng Li, Masahisa Fukase, Hayahisa Tomiyasu, Anna & Bernard Blume, Nina Davies, Piet Baumgartner, Luisa Dörr, Manuela Lorente, Ramón & Valentín De Zubiaurre, Michalina Kacperak, Jana Sophia Nolle, will participate. Arnau Rovira, Alejandra Carles-Tolra, Emanuele Binetti, Maxim Zmeyev, Raquel Meyers and 2girls1comp.

Their samples can be enjoyed in Getxo from June 6 to 30.
