It was one of those performances that will go down in the history of the world’s “Got Talent!”. The British edition had another participant awarded the Golden Button. This is eight-year-old Ravi Adelekan, who performed from the stage – with the support of the crowd gathered behind him – the song “A million dreams” from the musical “The Greatest Showman”. But the young man melted the hearts of everyone in the audience even before he started singing.
Golden Button in the British “Got Talent!”
Ravi entered the stage with his immediate family. A whole crowd of people of all ages followed them. The boy confidently confessed that everyone had come with him to encourage him – he had been suffering from a brain tumor for two years and on stage, apart from him, were his closest family members, classmates, teachers, doctors and children from the neurology department, where Ravi is a frequent visitor.
All my life I’ve been watching “Got Talent!” and I always wanted to go to auditions. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I am here today to show that no matter what obstacles life throws at you, you can fulfill your dreams – said Ravi.
The eight-year-old started singing, but after a while it was clear that “his crowd” was not standing just to look nice. Apart from his voice, the entire choir spoke, which caused a huge stir both in the audience and among the jury. The camera efficiently captured people who weren’t hiding their tears – it wasn’t difficult, because it’s safe to say that most people who had the opportunity to watch Ravi live cried. Towards the end, Alesha Dixon couldn’t take the tension anymore and pressed the Golden Button. The people gathered on the stage did not immediately realize what had happened.
