It turns out that it is worth buying more of them, and one trick will make them last much longer in the fridge and will not spoil.

It’s best to store them in the fridge on the lowest shelf, but to prolong their freshness, this simple trick will come in handy. All you need to do is break off the ends of the asparagus, then wrap them in foil and put the vegetables in a cup of water. Place such a “bouquet” in the refrigerator, and the asparagus will retain its flavor and aroma for up to 8 days. Another way is to wrap the ends with a wet cloth or a soaked paper towel. However, remember to replace the cloth every day or every two days so that the vegetables have access to water.

How to freeze asparagus? Properly prepared, they can stay in the freezer for up to 3 months

Freezing is also a good idea. Before doing this, cut off or break off the woody ends of the shoots. Then wash the asparagus thoroughly and dry it. Do not freeze wet vegetables because they will quickly become icy lumps. It is best to place them in a plastic ziplock bag and put them in the freezer.
