Wojciech Morawski founded Perfect. Today, Krzysztof Skiba appeals for support for the drummer

Krzysztof Skiba appeals for help for the former Perfect drummer. Wojciech Morawski is sick and is unable to take proper care of himself.

“I ask him how it is in the Social Welfare Home where he currently lives. He just waves his hand and smiles, and I see something like a tear near his eye, but maybe it’s just an illusion,” writes Krzysztof Skiba about the meeting with Wojciech Morawski in the restaurant. . The 74-year-old drummer was the co-founder of Perfect. He also played, among others, in Breakout, Porter Band, Morawski Waglewski Nowicki Hołdys, Voo Voo or Jan Bo. Today, unfortunately, he loses his memory and lives in a social welfare home.

Skiba: We used to applaud them, today we can allocate our 1.5 percent of taxes

He is supported by the Polish Music Foundation, which – as Skiba notes – has been taking care of musicians who have gotten into trouble due to random events or illnesses for over twenty years. “The foundation currently takes care of and supports several musicians in need. The insurance and pension funds are too small to provide them with care, purchase the necessary medicines or rehabilitate the sick and abandoned,” writes the singer Big Cyc on Instagram. That’s why he’s asking for support:

We used to applaud them, today we can allocate our 1.5 percent of taxes by entering the Foundation’s KRS in our annual PiT tax returns.

How to help?

In the post you can find the data needed to allocate 1.5%. for the purposes of the Polish Music Foundation. During its 20 years of operation, the foundation has helped many musicians and their loved ones. She organized, among others: an aid campaign for musicians Varius Manx and Monika Kuszyńska, injured in a car accident in 2006, but also for less recognizable artists and helped to raise funds for the reconstruction of the burned house of composer Katarzyna Gartner. They were involved, for example, in helping the family of a drummer who died suddenly, a double bass player recovering after a serious operation, or supporting musicians suffering from cancer.

You can also help by contributing to a sub-account of one of the targeted collections. In this way, the foundation collects money, among others: for Elżbieta Dmoch from the band 2 plus 1, the family of the deceased Bart Sosnowski and the twins Helena and Milena Gąssowski.
