– Church and faith are completely two different things, and it’s a pity that the Church made such a fuss – says Margaret in an interview with Marta Korycka from Gazeta.pl.
Margaret: But no God built this Church
The singer also adds: I have great faith and respect for something greater – I don’t necessarily name it, because it is so human. I know I don’t know anything, I know there is something bigger than me and I can’t understand it, but it’s us humans who did it again. After all, no Lord God built this Church, invented all these commandments, or ordered people to deposit money every Sunday. I go back a bit and try to look for the source, he adds. Watch the video:
In the interview, which will soon appear on Gazeta.pl, we also talk about, among others: about working with her husband, whether she prefers to write lyrics in Polish or English, and whether dancing is a way for the singer to deal with sadness and anger. Margaret also talks about what it’s like living in Spain, she remembers her high school final exams and “A Chance for Success”.
“Bruises and Sequins” by Margaret – premiere soon
Last year, the song “Tańcz stupida”, the first single announcing Margaret’s new album, was very popular in the summer. Recently, “Have a Nice Summer” appeared – the last one before the premiere. This one is announced for April 26. Margaret returns to pop – all the songs, even the only ballad on the album, are very danceable. The songs on the singer’s fifth solo album include songs sung in Polish, English and Spanish.
– Life is like that, if there are no bruises, there will be no sequins. There are no downs, it’s hard to talk about ups. If I didn’t do strictly pop things, I wouldn’t have turned the other way, towards rap. If I hadn’t taken up rap, I wouldn’t have discovered the new music I’m recording now. I fully agree with this sine wave, I follow it – says Margaret about the new album.
