The medical and moral telenovela “For Good and For Bad” debuted on Polish Television almost 25 years ago and is still considered one of the most watched series on Polish Television. Although the current viewing figures do not resemble those from twenty years ago, when up to ten million people sat in front of their TV sets, the soap opera is still very popular.
“For better and for worse” is a constant television hit. Why will there be no new episode on May 1?
In the 2023/2024 season, the average viewership of the series was 1.67 million people. In one week in February, the audience for one episode was as high as 2.19 million viewers, which translated into 20.76 percent. station share. This is one of the reasons why no one expects that the series showing the fate of the next generation of doctors will be taken off the air. However, this will happen soon, but it will be an exception to the rule.
On Wednesday, May 1, a special schedule will be introduced on TVP, which will not include the new episode of “Na dobre i na evil”. On the first day of the May weekend, during the telenovela broadcast, viewers will be able to see the thriller film “Spectre”, the twenty-fourth film in the James Bond series, played by Daniel Craig. The broadcast will start at 8:00 p.m. and will last for two and a half hours.
The series about the private and professional lives of the staff and patients of the fictional hospital in Leśna Góra will return next week, on May 8, at the regular time. The 25th season of the series is currently broadcast. Over the following years, the characters of the soap opera changed, but viewers appreciate the fact that it shows the true picture of health care in our country.
