For almost 4 years, it has been considered one of the most popular entertainment shows on Polish television. On March 4, 2024, the 8th season premiered on TVN7, this time shot in Vietnam. Each episode attracts millions of viewers watching with interest how the participants’ romantic relationships develop in an atmosphere of intrigue and scandal.
Knowledge test – “Hotel Paradise”. The participants did not do well. What questions proved challenging?
Regular viewers of “Hotel Paradise” (available at ) know that its inherent element is a general knowledge test. The main goal is to verify the participants’ understanding of the world around them. As we know from previous editions, even seemingly simple questions turned out to be quite a challenge, and the answers were astonishing. This time was no different.
In the current season, only girls took part in the task. Their partners only had to estimate their chances of completing it correctly. There was no shortage of emotions, and difficulties appeared at the very beginning when they had to identify the author of “Zemsta”. Some of them said that it was not Aleksander Fredro, but . Neither of them knew what a mandolin was or how many udders a bull had. It only got worse.

Giving the date of the start of World War II turned out to be quite a challenge for the participants. Agnieszka concluded that it took place on September 11, 1937, but the greatest shock came from Ada, who said it was September 13, 1980. The answers to the question about which literary work “Invocation” comes from were no less surprising. The proposals included: “Ode to Joy” and “Song to the Homeland”. But this is still not the end.
Surely many of you remember from primary school who Urlich von Jungingen was. If not, we would like to remind you that we are talking about the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, who died during the Battle of Grunwald. However, the participants had completely different assumptions. Some of them claimed that he was a philosopher or composer, others that he was a painter and inventor. Natalia definitely showed off the best as she confidently answered that it was… the president of Vietnam.
The test ended with a question about who they thought played in the band and about the creator of Mendeleev’s table. – This is a woman, she received the Nobel Prize – Agnieszka analyzed. – Maria Skłodowska-Curie – she added after a moment of reflection, causing great amusement among her colleagues. The host of the program, Klaudia El Dursi, also did not hide her embarrassment and eloquently summarized the entire task. – I lost faith in girls. My heart hurts, she said to the camera. A lot of comments from equally shocked viewers appeared under the entries on the “Paradise Hotel” social media profiles.
