The book “Christmas Piglet” tells the story of a boy named Jack, who loses his childhood toy Give the Piglet (called DP) on Christmas Eve after his stepsister throws it out of the family car. Although the boy receives a replacement – Christmas Piglet – as a consolation, he misses his old, faithful friend. Since Christmas Eve is a night of miracles, Christmas Piglet comes to life and offers Jack a trip to the Land of the Lost in search of DP.

Variety reports that the project is at a very early stage of development, JK Rowling’s agents did not want to comment on the matter. The novel Christmas Piglet was first published in 2021 with illustrations by Jim Field. Rowling said she was inspired to write the book by her son’s twin toy pigs. At the time of publication, Swift Films had made a series of promotional videos for the title.
Interestingly, for many Harry Potter fans, watching the eight films has been an annual holiday tradition for years. Perhaps if there was one about Christmas Piglet, it would join the set. The book was a bestseller, but not as big as those set at Hogwarts.
