We often store items in the basement that we do not use every day, but it is a pity to throw them away, because they will certainly come in handy again. Not everyone realizes that we can’t hide everything there. We can get a high fine for some things. Which ones are we talking about?

A basement or a storage room is often used as a storage place for things that do not fit in the apartment. Often, preserves or items that we don’t need at the moment end up there, but it’s a shame to throw them away because they will surely come in handy someday. In addition, this is where we keep old furniture, electronics, and especially Christmas decorations. However, it is worth remembering that not everything is suitable for such storage, and some things cannot even be kept in the basement.

It’s not just that there is a risk that they will get damaged, but that they are simply dangerous. In accordance with the fire protection of buildings, it is prohibited:

  • storage of flammable and fire hazardous materials, not only in basements, but also attics and attics. These include flammable items, such as fireworks, containers and canisters of gasoline, remains of paints, solvents and disinfectants.

Therefore, it is better to avoid staying in it electronic equipment, wooden or upholstered furniture, books, clothes and, of course, bulk products.
