After the change of authorities at Telewizja Polska, TVP Info and TVP3 were immediately turned off, and the editions of “Wiadomości”, “Teleexpress” and “Panorama” were not broadcast. The main television daily of Telewizja Polska was replaced by the “19:30” program, and its first host was Marek Czyż.
Marek Czyż hosts “19:30”. He is not a full-time employee, but only cooperates with TVP
Many people are interested in the earnings of new TVP employees. A request to disclose such information was submitted by Dariusz Matecki, an MP from Sovereign Poland, but the company’s liquidator, Daniel Gorgosz, only replied that today’s earnings at TVP are disproportionately lower than in the times when the previous team was in power. He also revealed that the person who earns the most receives PLN 35,000. zlotys.
Marek Czyż was also asked about his salary, and he said in the “Wprost Odnie” podcast that he was not an employee of TVP, which surprised some people. The journalist quickly explained that he is the owner of a limited liability company that cooperates with Telewizja Polska, and his remuneration is income from the company, which he cannot disclose.
– Nothing has changed in this matter and definitely will not change in the near future. I am the owner of a limited liability company that provides services for TVP. The station offered me a full-time job, but I am not interested in such a position. It would be much less beneficial for me – he told Wirtualna Polska.
He also added that the information circulating on the Internet about his earnings are just rumors. – Of course, I cannot reveal my exact earnings because it is a company secret. But I fit well within the range publicly announced by the liquidator. And I can also add that the information circulating on the Internet that I earn PLN 87,000 PLN, it’s an absolute fake. I earn monumentally less, he admitted.
Jan Śpiewak criticizes Czyż because he does not want to reveal his earnings. Not everyone agrees with him
Although the topic was particularly interesting a few months ago, activist Jan Śpiewak has now decided to bring it back. “The presenter of TVP’s flagship program says that he is not a TVP employee and therefore will not disclose his earnings,” he wrote on the X website, sparking renewed discussion on this topic.
However, Internet users’ opinions are divided and not everyone agrees with the social activist’s polemics. One of them is the vice-president of the Głos Pisany Szminką foundation, Olga Legosz, who responded to Śpiewak’s post with these words:
Recently, when I revealed how much I earn, you fucked me up, so you have to decide whether you are in favor of transparency of income or whether everything above the national average is evil – we read.
In turn, another user wrote: “But on the other hand, on what basis should a private company disclose the value of the contract? Why, because the contractor is a public company? You should submit such a request to TVP.”
There are also voices that such an employment system has been present for a long time. “Many TVP ’employees’ were not and are not employed by TVP. In the times of PiS, before and now. Sub-employment on the junk and B2B basis dominates,” wrote Bartosz Gonzalez, a former employee of TVP Info.
