Errobi will receive the Adarra award
The labor group Errobi This year, she will receive the Adarra award, at the proposal of an advisory committee formed by the music promoter Amaia Ispizua, the director of Communication and Image of Donostia Kultura Jaione Askasibar and the technician of the Music department of Donostia Kultura Esther Fernandino.
According to this commission, “Errobi was a decisive group in incorporating progressive rock and psychedelia into Basque music. From 1973 to 1985, the quartet led by Anje Duhalde and Mixel Ducau became the avant-garde of Basque music and produced one of the most celebrated albums in Euskal Herria: Ametsaren Bidea”.
The group has received “with great honor and gratitude” the news of the award, “which rewards the fruit of work and/or harvest that we undertook half a century ago.”
Errobi will receive the award on the stage of the Victoria Eugenia theater, in San Sebastián, on June 21 at 7:30 p.m., and will then offer a concert accompanied by the musicians Txomin Duhalde (drums), Rèmi Gachis (guitar) and Iñigo Telletxea (bass).
Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Thursday, April 11, for 20 euros at the Victoria Eugenia theater and Teatro Principal box offices and the Donostia Kultura website.
Before Errobi, Mikel Laboa, Ruper Ordorika, Benito Lertxundi, Fermin Muguruza, Anari, Berri Txarrak, Kepa Junkera, Amaia Zubiria, Joseba Tapia and Zea Mays have received the Adarra award.
