Marble columns, tiles and Nasrid plasterwork. A jewel of architecture that we find in the heart of the Sevillian countryside. Those who visit it consider it “a work of art.” It is the perfection that the Sevillian José Luis Romero achieved after 12 years of intense work, a Sevillian Alhambra which his family now shows.
His son, also called José Luis, remembers his entire childhood “among bricklayers”, explaining in the video that accompanies these lines what this Alhambra in Paradas (Seville) is like.
His widow, Mari Carmen, tells how her husband went to Granada “like someone who went to the corner.” “I’m going for a tile and now I’m coming back,” she remembers. He visited the Alhambra up to 143 times in the last three years of his work, more than 300 throughout his life.
That inspiration is reflected in every corner of this house. A house where the walls speak and so special that it also receives visitors on weekends.
