Adam Adamonis has had many roles on the small and big screen, but he owes his real recognition to the Polsat series, in which he plays the role of Inga’s ex-husband (), Andrzej Gruszecki. Despite his unwavering popularity, the actor avoids the limelight and avoids privacy in interviews. Some time ago, however, he made an exception when he decided to change his name, which shocked not only his fans, but also his friends from the world of show business.
Adamonis took the surname of his deceased grandfather. He did it to pay tribute to him
The actor’s fans certainly remember that at the beginning of his career his name was not Adamonis, but Krawczyk. He decided on impulse or the desire to be more recognizable. He was made to do this by the trash of his beloved grandfather, who fought for Poland’s freedom as a tank driver. – Changing my name came about out of desire, not out of a need that it would give me something. I felt that either I would take it, it would be with me and I would keep my grandfather’s idea and energy all the time, or I wouldn’t – in an interview with the news agency “Newseria Lifestyle”, adding that in this way he wanted to pay tribute to him. However, this is not the only revolution that the “Friends” star decided to make in his life.
He is not only an actor. Adamonis also has other work outside the set
It turns out that acting is not Adamonis’ only occupation. In an interview for Oh.me, he recalled his childhood memories. It was then that he had his tonsils removed, which was a huge trauma that blocked his speech development. – It was a very difficult experience for me. I don’t remember much from that moment, he said. – The result was my speech blockage and stuttering. Sometimes I would say one sentence for several minutes, which of course caused great frustration because I was about to go to school, he recalled.
However, his parents did not send him to a speech therapist, and the solution was body therapy and organic movement, which he treated as a hobby from then on. He decided to pursue it professionally a few years ago, when he created his own work method and realized that it would completely change his life. – I was looking for solutions on my own and intuition: how to calm my breathing, how to manage my emotions. And then, as a teenager, I was looking for various bodywork workshops and this way I found my way to overcoming my speech block – he talked about his path to a new profession.
Few people know, but Adamonis is the author of the “Ciało Wie” project, which once made a huge sensation. During the classes, he shared with the participants methods, including: to get rid of chronic tension in the body and stress that accumulates in the muscles. On a daily basis, he conducts individual consultations, and the cost of a one-time meeting is PLN 195. An individual touch therapy session costs slightly more, PLN 295, and PLN 550 for a full-day participation in his classes.
