The actor, who played the main character in the original production from 1990 and returned to it in 2017, stated that some works are not worth reviving on the screen. “I don’t think I’d want to see it, and I don’t think anyone should try to do it… You tell someone, ‘Don’t touch it,’ and they do it anyway because they can’t stop themselves from getting burned again.” “This is a problem,” the actor concluded in an interview with Deadline.

The star of “Twin Peaks”, “Desperate Housewives” and “Dune” from 1984 also admitted that he was afraid of the role of Agent Cooper. To star in a David Lynch production, he abandoned his film career for a while: “Television was definitely stigmatized at that time, and I was leaving behind a potential film career for it. I had big concerns and wondered if I was mature enough to take the plunge. I was worried what the reception would be like. But it turned out that I didn’t have to worry at all,” added the actor.

The first season of “Twin Peaks” was released in 1990. Initially, the series promised to be a standard crime story, but it quickly turned out that instead, viewers received a story full of puzzles and unexplained phenomena. Its main character is agent Dale Cooper, who investigates the murder of a young girl during a visit to the titular town.
