Jacek Fedorowicz was born in 1937 in Gdynia, but his parents came from Warsaw. They soon returned to the capital. He was 7 years old when he survived the Warsaw Uprising. After graduating from high school, he began studies, as the youngest student, at the Faculty of Painting of the Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. The studies cost a lot, so Fedorowicz earned money by selling his works and drawings, among others. newspapers and magazines.
Jacek Fedorowicz met his wife during his studies. He immediately fell in love with a girl with “Egyptian eyes”
During his studies, he met his future wife. He was sent as a representative of the university to the Orłowo art high school. He was supposed to recite a few poems during the high school prom.
I chose a poem about a cat and a bat by Ludwik Jerzy Kern. I recited it with fire, bringing out dramatic accents with great expressiveness and masterfully differentiating the way each character spoke.
– after many years in an autobiography. After the performance, he “threw himself into having fun”. Already then, a girl with “Egyptian eyes” caught his eye. He knew she had to become his wife. So he quickly started asking his friends about the mysterious Anna. It was rumored that she was expelled from a Warsaw high school amid a scandal because she dressed “in colorful striped scarves and red stockings.” The truth turned out to be different. It turned out that the reason for her expulsion was the political activities of her stepfather, Witold Ocetkiewicz, who was considered an “enemy of the people” by the then authorities.
He tricked the ladies in the dean’s office. Thanks to this, he found out that Anna would be his friend from college
Anna soon started studying at the same university, so Fedorowicz was happy that he would be able to see her more often. However, he found out before the start of the academic year. He managed to persuade the ladies in the dean’s office to show him the applications of admitted students. He saw a photo of Anna in one of them. A student acquaintance turned into a relationship, which was preceded by an engagement… at the station in Konstancin. As he later admitted, it cost him PLN 1,600.
Hania borrowed money from me from time to time. It was difficult for her to pay back, so the debt increased to PLN 1,600. Once she was up to her eyeballs in debt, she had no choice but to accept my proposal.
Not only her students fell in love with the beautiful Anna. As Tadeusz Skutnik Fedorowicz recalled, “he stole her from under the nose of our friend Zbyszek Jujka and took her to Warsaw.” The couple lived in Powiśle, 20 meters from the place where Fedorowicz, as a 7-year-old boy, hid during the uprising. In the capital he made, among others: cooperation with Stanisław Bareja.
