The actor was filming a scene during which he was supposed to shoot a gun at the camera. According to safety rules, the weapon should not be loaded, but this happened differently and after pressing the trigger, the Ukrainian operator, Halyna Hutchins, was shot. Despite the immediate intervention of doctors, the 42-year-old’s life could not be saved.

The case received wide coverage in the media, and the prosecutor’s office began an investigation to find those responsible for the tragedy. As ABC News reported some time ago, Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter, but his lawyers are demanding that they be dropped. Moreover, they accuse the prosecutors of many shortcomings, including: that they did not call the actor as a witness, thus not giving him a chance to talk about the event. – State prosecutors engaged in unlawful conduct and publicly dragged Baldwin into the cesspool created by their actions, despite the fact that he has been facing serious criminal charges for 2.5 years – said outraged lawyers in an interview with the media.

Baldwin, however, did not intend to wait for a legal solution to the case, and in interviews he emphasized that despite his lack of knowledge about the weapon being loaded, he felt guilty. Already in 2022, he reached an agreement with the family of the deceased operator, but the prosecutor’s office continued the investigation against him. It is not known how the case will ultimately end or what punishment he will receive.
