“Glass” is the third part of the story presented by M. Night Shyamalan in the films “Unbreakable” and “Split”, and also its culmination. The film hit the library on March 30 and quickly shot up the ratings. During the holiday weekend, it was among the most popular productions. Even though it is not available to viewers in North America and Asia, it landed at number 4 in the overall rankings. On April 1 and 2, it fell off the podium, but it is still in the top ten most watched productions on Netflix. In Poland, however, it loses, among others, with the romantic comedy and animation “Sing 2”.

In “Unbreakable” we meet security guard David Dunn, played by , and Elijah Price, played by Samuel L. Jackson. Dunn is the only one to survive the train crash. Price, a comic book store owner who suffers from brittle bone disease, is convinced that the security guard is a superhero. In “Split”, shot 16 years later, we meet Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man with 24 personalities, played by James McAvoy. One of them is the Beast, hungry for blood and demanding sacrifices.
All three returned to the screens in 2019 in the film “Glass”. Although the production was rather coldly received by viewers, receiving the worst reviews of all the films in the series, it was also the last relatively well-reviewed film with Willis’ participation. And this despite the fact that the actor received a Golden Raspberry nomination for his role in M. Night Shyamalan’s film. He did not receive the statuette, but his later roles were already praised by critics.

Three years later, the organizers of the Golden Raspberry Awards dedicated a separate category to Willis. As soon as it was revealed that the actor suffered from aphasia and Willis’ relatives announced that he was giving up acting, the nominations and the statuette were withdrawn. The organizers also issued a statement in which they emphasized that “awarding the Golden Raspberries in such a situation is not appropriate.”
