Netflix has broken the bank again. Polish comedy breaks records even in Brazil, but the opinions are overwhelming

Netflix’s “Nothing by Force” broke the bank. The Polish romantic comedy hit Netflix on March 27, just before Easter. The holiday weekend, which was favorable for screenings, resulted in the film’s popularity. It is among the most watched productions even on the other side of the world, but viewers are strongly divided.

The slogan “Polish romantic comedy” is like a rag to a bull for some people, while it attracts others like a magnet. Even though many of them go straight to streaming platforms instead of cinemas, viewership does not drop at all. On the contrary. This is also the case with the latest hit, “Nothing by Force”. Netflix may be rubbing its hands. The main roles were played by, among others: Anna Szymańczyk, , Mateusz Janicki and . Cezary Żak, Paulina Holtz, Piotr Rogucki and Michał Milowicz also appeared in the film. Although the comedy is breaking popularity records, critics and some viewers have many comments.

“Nothing by force”. Netflix has released another hit. It is at the forefront not only in Poland

Since its premiere, i.e. since March 27, “Nothing by Force” has remained in the first place of the most popular productions in Poland. However, comedy is popular not only in Poland. It turns out that it conquers the top 10 even in distant corners of the globe. According to the data collected by the website, at the end of March and on April 1, the Polish romantic comedy was among the most frequently watched productions, including: in Argentina (on Easter weekend it was in 3rd place), in Brazil (it remains in the top three), but also in Chile, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary (1st and 2nd place) and even in Mexico .

Viewers strongly divided. “Nothing by force” receives overwhelming ratings, but they appreciate several aspects

The production is conquering the world and is very popular, but it does not receive the best reviews. Viewers on the website rated it only 4.9 stars out of 10. Viewers from the English-language website were more kind, rating it 5.1 stars out of 10.

Barciś and Seniuk are definitely ‘overqualified for this job’. The actors suffer, the viewer suffers, everyone suffers, but I appreciate the irony in the title

– wrote Piotr Knioła, i.e. PigOut, who gave the film 3 stars on Filmweb. However, the roles of Artur Barciś, Anna Seniuk, and Anna Szymańczyk, known from Netflix’s “Quack”, are appreciated. The biggest problems are the boring plot, “far-fetched humor”, “forced jokes”, “a collection of clichés” well known to connoisseurs of Polish romantic comedies, but there are also many advantages. One of them are staff from Podlasie.

I wish everyone who criticizes this film so much more to relax, there is no point in being so tense.
