After a series of failed relationships, the actress finally found happiness. At one of her friends’ parties, she met Jan, with whom, as it turned out, she had studied many years earlier in Łódź. Some time later, the man proposed. However, the wedding never took place. The plans were thwarted by illness, pancreatic cancer. Daria Trafankowska died on April 9, 2004, at the age of 50.
