Easter is fast approaching. Preparations for the holidays have been going on for several weeks, but only now Poles have gone shopping in droves to buy products needed to prepare Easter breakfast and lunch. According to a report by the BLIX Group and Proxi.cloud, nearly 30 percent consumers were to go on Christmas shopping a week before Easter, and almost 22 percent he does it almost at the last minute. Products are purchased mainly in physical outlets – over 93%. Shoppers are most attracted to discount stores – over 93 percent. Afterwards, they most often go to supermarkets – over 22%.
One of our readers writes in a sincere letter to the editor that she hasn’t seen so many people in stores for a long time. As he admits, even on Holy Saturday, just before the stores closed, there were long queues in discount stores.
For me this is sick. Instead of going and doing proper shopping, people waste money and end up in stores up to five times a day. On Holy Saturday, there was such a queue before the closing of a popular German supermarket that the cashier must have worked overtime
– writes Mrs. Gosia.
“The cashiers put out the goods at night and work at the cash register during the day”
“I live in a small town near Warsaw. If I need to do more shopping, I usually go to the capital. However, I don’t risk it before Christmas because I’m worried that there will be big traffic jams. I was very surprised when I saw what was happening in my city. Practically everyone gets in a car before Christmas and goes shopping. What happens in stores is beyond anyone’s understanding. People would take food out of the store on pallets if they could. Cashiers put out the goods at night and work at the cash register during the day. I feel very sorry for them. because people have no respect for them at all. The only thing that matters is to stuff as much into the basket as possible. Everyone forgets that Christmas is only two days. What a disaster!
“All this is created by the old generation. The young prefer to relax and focus on themselves, not on the rich dishes served at the table.”
What will you do with this food? I can’t believe that everyone will freeze it. Most likely everything will end up in the trash. Sad but honest truth. Five sheets of cake, bigos, sour rye soup, dumplings, eggs and other delicacies are also eaten throughout the year. I feel like people don’t have their own opinions and follow others. No one sees that the world is changing and filling tables are no longer a requirement. During the holidays, the most important thing is rest, not a full stomach, because none of us has multiple stomachs and can’t eat enough. I think this stupidity will end someday. All this is created by the old generation. Young people prefer to relax and focus on themselves, not on the richly set table.” Gosia.
