Before she won the hearts of viewers, she studied at the prestigious Lee Strasberg school in New York. She made her screen debut in 2002 in the series “Same Life”, thus starting her career. Over the years, she starred in many productions such as “Kryminalni”, “First Love”, “Lejdis” and “Guardian Angel”, in whose glade she met her future husband.
She considered him a womanizer, and they later became a couple. The lives of Lenska and Cieszyński turned upside down 6 years ago
In 2005, while shooting for the series, the actress caught the eye of Rafał Cieszyński. Although he was handsome, he came across as a womanizer and she quickly rejected his advances, thinking he wasn’t taking her seriously. He didn’t give up and from the very beginning he felt that she was the woman of his life. Perseverance paid off, because Lenska was finally persuaded to meet and that’s how it all began. On her 25th birthday, her beloved asked her to marry him, and in 2007 they got married in Las Vegas. 4 years later, their daughter Zofia was born, and after another 2 years they had a son, Antoni.
The family idyll was interrupted by the dramatic events that took place in 2018. That day everything was as usual. Lenska went to the Komedia Theater, where rehearsals for “Contraband”, in which she appeared, were held with audience participation. During the break, while walking between the stage and the dressing room, she unexpectedly lost consciousness.
I played one act, I was a bit tense, but I liked it, the curtain fell, the audience went for a break, we were laughing in the backstage at what happened. Then I went up the stairs to the dressing room and nothing happened that I expected… Something went wrong in my head, I couldn’t breathe, I fell down, screamed in pain, I didn’t know what was happening
– Later. The remaining cast members quickly helped her and called an ambulance. The actress went to hospital and the test results shocked her. It turned out that she had had an aneurysm in her head for 5 years, which suddenly burst. Doctors immediately took her to the operating theater, where she underwent a long and complicated procedure, during which the bleeding was stopped and its cause was eliminated.
Lenska spent several weeks in hospital. Today, he treats difficult experiences as motivation for life
The recovery lasted several weeks, and Lenska could count on the support of her fans and loved ones during this time. Eventually, she managed to regain her strength and returned to work, but, as she openly admits, completely changed. – For 5 years I lived with a ticking bomb in my head – she said in an interview for , adding that this experience helped her come to terms with death, which she had previously been so afraid of, and today she is grateful that it happened to her surrounded by people who could help.
If she had been alone then, she probably would not have been able to impress with subsequent roles. – I used to be terribly afraid. This fear has been in me since the death of my beloved grandmother. I saw him die. Imagine I’m home alone and this happens. No help anywhere. And so help came quickly. It was simply a gift from fate, she said.
Since then, the actress has been regularly appealing to her fans to get checked out and not to ignore disturbing symptoms, but to always consult her condition with specialists. She ignored the constant migraines, which are one of the symptoms of an aneurysm. – I was born again! I am smiling, positive and I tell everyone I talked to: you have to be smiling! You have to do what you want, you have to do what you dream about, even something you think about, because life is beautiful – she said another time.
