After a 17-year break, Telewizja Polska decided to resume it, and the next series was broadcast in 2020, attracting a million audience. Since then, viewers have been passionately following the participants’ struggles and their competition on the way to victory, which is often truly exciting.

On March 26, 2024, the next episode of “Va Banque” was broadcast, in which really strong players competed. They were Mariusz Dekiel, the winner Tomasz Orzechowski, and Tomasz Romaniuk, who had already won in four previous episodes in a row. The competition was fierce and the competitors showed above-average knowledge, fighting fiercely for the main prize. Ultimately, however, it was the last member of the group who asked a question, the answer to which would be “October 3, 1988, the premiere of this film took place, from which the name of the award for the worst Polish films takes place.”
The production wrote about Romaniuk’s fifth victory in a row on social media. At the same time, his previous result was also mentioned, thanks to which the participant was the first in the history of “Va Banque” to be named Champion twice.

However, this did not happen, and the participant had to acknowledge the superiority of his opponents, taking last place and with an empty account. There was an immediate uproar on the Internet, but everything indicates that Orzechowski did not take it to heart at all, considering participating in the program to be a great adventure.
In one of the comments under the entry of the “Va Banque” production, he thanked his rival for the exciting game and assured that he had not said his last word yet, as he planned to return to the game show next season.
