Residents of Głogów are boycotting Malik Montana’s concert. “Patorap”

Malik Montana’s next concert is in doubt. The rapper was supposed to perform during this year’s G³ogów Days, but the city’s inhabitants oppose his presence at the event.

Malik Montana is considered one of the most controversial artists on the Polish music scene. Concerns are raised primarily by the vulgar lyrics of the rapper’s songs, in which we can hear, among others, fragments such as “Fuck you, b***h, f*** you, I’ll smack you” or “f**k, get back on your knees.” . Quite recently, there was also a lot of talk about Montana’s conflict with rapper Sentino. The Polish creator allegedly threatened to kill his colleague, and the evidence of this was the messages he shared.

The inhabitants of Głogów do not want Malik Montana’s concert. Councilors intervene

The rapper’s image does not suit the authorities of Polish cities, who, not for the first time, have boycotted one of his planned concerts. Malik Montana’s black streak has been going on since last year, when the organizers of the Poznań Juwenalia removed him from the event’s line-up. A little later, the inhabitants of Lublin demanded the cancellation of the rapper’s performance during the Lublin Days, citing the decision of the Poznań authorities.

Malik Montana was also supposed to perform during this year’s edition of Głogów Days. The city’s residents expressed their opposition to the rapper’s presence by creating a Facebook group called “No to Malik Montana on the days of Głogów”. “Głogów Days is an event for entire families, which should present a certain musical level. There are many rappers who convey a valuable message, not patorap,” we read in a statement published by the initiators.

The voice of the city community was listened to by the councilors who submitted a request to the city president to cancel the concert. “The committee unanimously decided to request the mayor of Głogów to reconsider the validity and possibility of conducting the concert in such a way as to protect bystanders from vulgar content and uncritically promoting inappropriate patterns and behavior,” said Mariusz Kędziora, councilor of the city of Głogów.
