This year marks exactly 30 years since the first episode of “One of Ten” was broadcast on Polish Television. Questions from various fields of knowledge have been read to participants since 1994 by Tadeusz Sznuk, who has become the symbol of the program.
Participant “1 out of 10” remembers the program well. He has one point
TV viewers are often interested in the behind-the-scenes of game shows. Plotek talked to one of the participants of “One of Ten”, Sebastian Leśniak, about what is not visible on the screens. The player admitted that he had good memories of his participation in the program.
“I still have sporadic contact with one of the opponents. Several episodes are recorded at once, so you spend a lot of time waiting for yours to be recorded. You spend time with the opponents, get to know each other, talk, joke. So the atmosphere is friendly,” he said in interview.
However, the game show participant also has comments about the program. As we know, to win an episode, you need to demonstrate extensive knowledge in a very wide range. Many programs have a much lower degree of difficulty, and the stakes for which participants are fighting are nevertheless much higher.
“Unthinkable”
“The prizes should be much bigger, it is unthinkable that Mr. Artur Baranowski received a prize of PLN 4 or 5 thousand for such knowledge and such a historic performance,” said Leśniak, who referred to one of the most popular episodes of recent years, in which The 28-year-old economist shone.
“The prize for the winner of the episode should be larger, especially since the other participants receive nothing. Alternatively, the final three should also receive a symbolic PLN 1,000,” Plotek’s interlocutor proposed a new solution.
