Jantar didn’t die in a plane crash? Conspiracy theorists talk about an Arab sheikh

Although Anna Jantar died in a plane crash over four decades ago, a significant part of her fans questioned the circumstances of the event from the very beginning and still have not come to terms with her passing. Over the years, many conspiracy theories have arisen about what could have really happened to the star on the fateful day. Here are some of the ones that some people still stubbornly believe in.

On March 14, 1980, the plane on which she was returning from New York to Warsaw crashed and crashed in the Kabacki Forest near the Okęcie airport. The legendary singer, then less than 30 years old, was one of the 87 victims. However, the circumstances of the incident caused considerable controversy from the very beginning, and numerous inaccuracies made mourning fans begin to question her death.

Jantar wasn’t on board the crashed plane? Conspiracy theorists claim she was abducted

One of the first theories to appear in the media assumed that Jantar was not on board the crashed plane at all, and that her documents were to be used by a completely different woman at the airport. However, these revelations were denied by Adam Glinka, leader of the band Tragap, with whom she performed her last concerts in the USA. – I accompanied Ania to the very entrance – he said on the Dziennik Zpowiedzkowy website, adding that he accompanied her all this time. – Through the window we could still see the icy LOT plane. I wondered aloud if it would even come. “It’s a Russian machine, it has flown so many times, it will fly again now,” he recalled her words.

There were also those who claimed that the artist was abducted by… an Arab sheikh. He allegedly met her while walking around New York and fell in love with her at first sight. However, there was no evidence of this type of incident, especially since it was completely contrary to Glinka’s account. – I saw him get on the plane. These idiotic rumors, that she wasn’t on the plane and that she was kidnapped by an Arab sheikh are absurd. I was there until the end, he said firmly. – The plane took off a little after 9 p.m. with a delay of over two hours. I returned home not suspecting anything, the musician confessed in the same conversation.

What led to the plane crash that killed Jantar? The investigators were supposed to conceal the real reason

There were also those who linked the tragedy with the artist’s private problems. It is no secret that her marriage with Jarosław Kukulski was going through a crisis. The couple stopped getting along a few months before her departure to the USA, and there were even rumors that Jantar wanted to leave her husband for the then drummer. Kukulski himself admitted that they “parted in anger”, which for some was an excuse to develop further theories. Ultimately, however, the plane crash was linked to a series of attacks that took place in the 1970s and 1980s. However, the perpetrators were never found, and this possibility was ruled out during the investigation.

Moreover, many people did not believe the experts’ findings, and the entire procedure aroused great emotions even long after its completion. It was believed that there were many shortcomings at each stage, as evidenced by numerous inconsistencies in the documentation, and it was also alleged that evidence was covered up and the true causes of the event were hidden. It is highly probable that the plane crash occurred due to its poor technical condition, of which the management of LOT Polish Airlines was supposedly aware. A popular practice at that time was to allow machines that did not have fully functional engines to be used, or to overuse them in order to save money.

Interestingly, a few years after Jantar’s tragic death, the author of one of her greatest hits “Nothing Can Last Forever” also spoke on the matter. In one of the interviews, he stated that the star was originally supposed to return on a completely different flight. She decided to change her plans almost at the last minute, because she wanted to give a birthday surprise to her daughter, Natalia, who had turned 4 a few days earlier. Perhaps if she had stayed with her previous assumptions, she would still be alive and delighting subsequent generations with her voice.
