The film ‘El Salto’, directed by Benito Zambrano, will open the 21st edition of the San Sebastián Film and Human Rights Festival on April 12. The program includes new films by Agnieszka Holland, Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Amaia Merino and Ander Iriarte.
The San Sebastián Film and Human Rights Festival will be held from April 12 to 19 in addition to the Victoria Eugenia theater, the main venue of the event, the Principal theater and other venues in the city.
“The Jump”, by Andalusian director Benito Zambrano, denounces the situation experienced by sub-Saharan migrants.

They will also talk about the future of work, the instrumentalization of migration as a political and military weapon and midwives, among many other issues.
Likewise, this year the ‘Cinema and Memory’ series is repeated in Tabakalera, made up of three films that analyze the power of images and their importance when telling History: ‘The mother of all lies’, ‘Dieu est une femme’ and ‘Subject’.
