Kazimierz Pabiasz is dead. The Old Breakout musician was 65 years old

Kazimierz Pabiasz breathed new life into the Breakout group, which ended its activity in 1982. In 2013, the musician reactivated the band and replaced the then leader, the late father of Polish blues rock, and changed its name to ExBreakout. The formation in the refreshed edition finally played under the banner of Old Breakout.

Unfortunately, Kazimierz Pabiasz had been ill for a long time. He died on Sunday, December 19. He informed about his death where the musician came from. “Probably everyone associated him with the concerts Pod Papugami and in many other places in the city. He liked to drop by the pub Pod Lwami.

Kazimierz Pabiasz was born and raised in the Opolskie Voivodeship. From the age of 16 he played his own blues and rock compositions. He made his debut in 1974 in Blues Jak Cobra, of which he was the founder. In 2013, the band Breakout was reactivated in Józefów. Changed formation name to Old Breakout. The band’s concert tour lasted 5 years (2014-2018). Despite the departure of many members of the bands, Pabiasz continued his activity, creating his original project “Tribute to Breakout Night”.

For many years, the artist collaborated with the best musicians in the country who created the history of blues rock music, while being its heroes, incl. with Krzysztof Bernard (Czerwono-Czarni), Cezary Czternastek (Easy Rider, Kasa Chorych), Leszek Jakubowski (Breasts), Janusz Niekrasz (TSA), Jaś Mozolewski (Bluestro).

Kazimierz Pabiasz recorded the following albums: “Blues jak Cobra”, “Behind the voice of the blues go”, “Opolski Triptych”, “Złoty train”. Recently, he created “The Last Express” to the texts of the poet Bogdan Loebel.
