Life did not spare “Aunt Stasia” from the “Klan”. She learned about the great tragedy of her life on the set

Most viewers remember Kazimiera Utrata for her role as Aunt Stasia. The caring, polite and always smiling old lady touched the fans of the series with her sayings such as “God, you are mine”. The actress died on August 12, 2018 of a heart attack in her apartment in Warsaw. Few people know that she experienced a great tragedy.

“The recent hot weather took a toll on her. She died at home, her daughter Katarzyna, who lives in Sweden, came to her for vacation. So she did not die alone,” a friend of the actress revealed to “Super Express” after the death of “Aunt Stasia.” The creators of the series “Klan” delayed the final farewell to the characters. Only three years after Utrata’s death, significant words were spoken in production. “I was at Aunt Stasia’s. She hasn’t been with us for almost three years. Look, more and more of our relatives and friends are already on the other side,” Elżunia, played by Barbara Bursztynowicz, turned to her husband in the 3815th episode of “Klan”.

In addition, Utrata was one of Agnieszka Osiecka’s favorites, reports the Świat Seriali portal. She was the first to sing the hit “Okularnicy” with the artist’s lyrics. She even received a distinction for performing the song at the 1st Polish Song Festival in Opole in 1963.

“Stressed, terrified, unprepared for the performance, I entered the stage. As a result… I received an award. I received a TV set, which I still have, as well as a coffee set, which I don’t use, I just keep as a souvenir. (…) I was careful that this award is an ordinary accident at work. Agnieszka [Osiecka] Knowing that I had this attitude towards it, she gave the song to Sława Przybylska, who recorded it professionally,” recalled the actress in a conversation with Bartosz Michalak, author of the book “Na Zakręte. Agnieszka Osiecka in memories”, quoted by Onet.

Kazimiera Utrata found out about her husband’s death on the set

Utrata was doing quite well professionally, but in her private life she encountered a tragedy that she could not cope with. In 1954, she was invited to the Student Satirical Theater. There she met the pianist and composer Marek Lusztig and quickly fell in love with him.

The artist reciprocated the feeling and four years later the couple got married. Their daughter Kasia was also born. The family started planning a trip to Sweden. Even before Utrata’s departure, she was working on the set of “Die Glass”. One day at work she received tragic news about her husband’s death.

“Marek died in a car accident in Sweden, near Karlskrona. Unlike the precise and meticulous Ziuta, Marek liked to be artistically scatterbrained and disorganized, which was the reason for the loosening of his relationship with Ziuta. (…) The cause of the accident in Sweden was “Marek is certainly tired,” said Ryszard Pracz in Rafał Dajbor’s book “My husband is a director by profession, or like Bareja 2,” quoted by Viva.pl in one of its articles.

However, this was not the only blow that the devastated actress had to endure. Several sources say that Lusztig was not alone during the ride. “He went there as a tourist, with another woman (named Maryla), because, as I mentioned, his relationship with Ziuta began to fall apart,” Pracz revealed. “Ziuta had a terrible experience. I have the impression that she loved Marek until the end and was unable to end this relationship,” he added. After her death, Utrata was buried next to her husband at the Warsaw cemetery.
