is currently one of the most sought-after actors of the young generation in Poland. From the beginning of 2024, he can be seen in cinemas in the film “White Courage” about the fate of highlanders under Nazi occupation. But already in his earlier years he took on roles in films that also had an impact on current politics. He could be seen in “Wołyń” by Smarzowski and “Pokłoś” by Pasikowski. Both of these productions were strongly criticized by Law and Justice – meanwhile, the actor’s father belongs to this party.

Filip Pławiak was a guest of Kuba Wojewódzki and Piotr Kędzierski in the “WojewódzkiKędzierski” podcast. There was also a difficult question about how he managed to get along with his closest family member – in recent years, families in which some people supported one party and others supported the other, faced huge communication problems, intensified by polarization in the media. Pławiak admitted with relief that this area in his home had not deteriorated:

What do your Christmas Eves look like? I saw what option you supported was the European Union flag on your Instagram, so can you separate them? – Kędzierski asked.

We have managed to maintain something that was once normal and that has not been for the last eight years, which is that we are able to talk to each other. Differences in views are not something that can divide us. I am very emotionally attached to my family and I think that politics will not divide us, especially since I would call my dad a local government official rather than a politician.

He is valued by local government officials from other options. Together they managed to sort it all out. Dad does a lot for my region and I am very proud of it. If I had to choose, I would prefer it to be from another party, but I have no influence on that, he said.

Filip Pławiak’s father, Marek Pławiak, is a local government official for Law and Justice. As we read in the local media, he is responsible for PiS’s result in the Nowy Sącz district this year in the upcoming local government elections. This region has been considered a stronghold of Law and Justice for years.
